All Members 4 weeks agoCongratulations to our mentor @Peter_G who ran the London Marathon two weekends ago!!! Earning a spot in the marathon is a feat by itself, with fewer than 3% of applicants being accepted.
Then, Peter ran the 26.2 miles in just under 3 hours, an accomplishment held by fewer than 5% of all marathon runners. Incredible!!!!

I’ve learned that I really love cognitive science. Even more recently, I’ve discovered a love for first order logic. As I explore career paths, I’ve been looking for ways to combine the two (though they’re already quite related!). My goal is to do research to help make educational environments/tools more effective, accessible, and engaging.

I am a lifelong Cubs fan and Spring is always my favorite time of year. See, before they won the World Series in 2016, they hadn’t won the championship since 1908…108 years! My long-gone grandparents didn’t live to see a Cubs World Series win in their lifetime.

What I like most about spring is the new life that forms from all the hard work a season prior, one can reap the benefits of returns on many different types of investments allowing spring the opportunity to be a new beginning for all. Although I love all non extreme weather, it does feel good to get a break from winter and enjoy the warmth…
